Batteries

Digital cameras have high energy requirements, and over time the size has become smaller and smaller, which has led to an ongoing need to develop a battery small enough to fit in the camera but can operate it for a reasonable time.
Essentially there are two broad divisions in the types of batteries that digital cameras use.
Laptop Batteries
The first is batteries that are available factor set of the form, most commonly AA, CR2, or CR-V3, AAA batteries with a handful of cameras. Batteries CR2 and CR-V3 lithium batteries, and expected, but not reusable. Also commonly seen in camcorders. AA batteries are far more common, but non-rechargeable alkaline batteries are capable of providing enough power for a very short time in most cameras. Most NiMH batteries of AA of consumer use (NiMH) (see also chargers and batteries) instead, which provide an adequate amount of power and are rechargeable. NIMH batteries do not provide as much energy as lithium ion batteries, and also tend to discharge when not used. They are available in various grades of ampere hour (Ah) or milli-ampere-hour (mAh), which affects how long it takes working. Consumer models typically mid-range and some lower end cameras use batteries available, only very few cameras a DSLR accept them (for example, Sigma SD10). The rechargeable lithium-ion RCR-V3 is also available as an alternative for non-rechargeable CR-V3.
Self-contained

A standalone device such as a PictBridge printer, operates without a computer. The camera connects to the printer, which then downloads and prints its images. Some DVD recorders and television sets can read memory cards. Various types of flash card readers also have an output capability of the TV.
