Similarities:

· Requires management approach in order to manage limited resources (financial budget, human resources, time., Etc.).
· Consider and systematize information about the conditions of “market” in which they operate (competitive positioning, consumer expectations or voters, available resources, etc.).
· Use selection tools and planning posts (market research or public opinion polls).
· Communicate the messages developed through the mass media and advertising activities
· Translate their messages in images in order to bring more attractive offerings (products or candidates).
Differences:
¨ The MP is derived from the specific nature of the applied field: politics.
· Sell a candidate is not to sell an appliance.
